Vince also talks about his mom and sisters in the video, and mansplaining about women’s bodies, which I’m sure is meant to spark some emotional connection with us (marketing), but made me want to vomit because it was so obvious. The scary thing is that when I entered my 13 year-old daughter’s information into the questions on the VShred site (it actually has a ‘teen’ category), it gave me a 60 minute video of Sant talking about how some women ‘struggle with willpower’ and how VShred can help them get rid of stubborn fat. There don’t appear to be any safeguards for age (I selected the ‘teen’ category…and yes, it exists) or warnings about eating disorders or any other contraindications for doing a program like this. Watch a 60 minute video of ‘world famous fitness model and certified trainer’ Vince Sant talking about your body type and 3 simple fixes to get rid of your ‘soft, out of shape body’ (cue images of women grabbing at their bellies) and get a ‘slim and toned body’ that you’ll want to ‘show off’ without ‘starving yourself.’ And hey, Vince has three ‘fat destroyers’ to help you, but you need to watch until the end of the video for him to reveal them!įigure out your macros or buy the meal plans for an extra cost. Here’s how the VShred experience typically goes:Īnswer some questions on the VShred site to find out which diet and exercise program they recommend for you. It seems like the VShred 90 day Fat Loss Extreme program is the most popular with the people I’ve spoken to, but I think it’s safe to say that the other programs that VShred offers are likely a variation of that one, anyhow. VShred offers a host of programs like Fat Loss Extreme, Custom Diet and Training for Her (and for Him), Ripped in 90 Days, Clean Bulk Program, 6-Pack Shred, The Booty Builder, etc. I’m not going to say anything in-depth about the VShred workouts, other than that it’s a well-known fact that Vince seems to be roundly reviled in the bodybuilding/weight lifting community. Vince was a fitness model before he got involved with VShred, but now his job title has somehow morphed into ‘celebrity fitness trainer,’ even though many, many, MANY actual fitness trainers will tell you that Vince often demonstrates poor form and some of the exercises he gives out may be potentially harmful. Someone needs to tell Vince that it’s gross AND dangerous to cook without a shirt. Here’s a screenshot of Vince meal-prepping…without a shirt. The face of VShred is a guy named Vince Sant, who has a lot of muscles and rarely wears a shirt. VShred is a nutrition and fitness company. When legit professionals are all in agreement with how sh*t a company is, we should really listen. There are also a sh*t-ton of YouTube videos from legit bodybuilders explaining why VShred may be a scam, and Ben Carpenter, whose content I adore, has taken them on a few times on his Reels. Not only my followers, but also on the Better Business Bureau website, where VShred has a 2.12/5 rating and 424 complaints in the last 3 years. Needless to say, a LOT of people do not like VShred. People started DM’ing me with their experiences, their personal VShred meal plans, screenshots of conversations with their coaches, all sorts of VShred emails and PDFs…it was nuts. Be prepared to count high!Īs part of my research on VShred, I put out a call on my Facebook page for anyone who had ever been on the program. I’m also marking off all the red flags for you to count up. There’s so much content, so many dark corners, and there’s also the whole thing of the company behind VShred (sketchy AF, I’m not even going to go there in detail).įor this VShred review, I’ve tried to limit myself to what I consider to be the most important things about the program. It’s like jumping into a rabbit hole and getting lost in there for weeks. So yeah, thanks to my friend for lighting a fire under me – I’m sure a lot of people are going to benefit from her almost-mistake! Just telling her not to do VShred wasn’t going to be enough – I needed the come up with all the reasons why. She told me that she had watched a Vince Sant video and said, ‘he seems to say the right things,’ which made my hair stand on end. It wasn’t until an old friend of mine recently sent me the VShred link and said she was considering doing this program for weight loss, that I jumped into action. I’ve always had requests to do a VShred review, but I’ve never really been interested because it meant that I was going to have to watch their crazy videos and subject myself to their marketing and ads, and I just didn’t want to deal with that. This review of VShred is my professional opinion. Thank you to all of the people who sent me their VShred logins, meal plans, emails, etc etc etc.

(The fact it tastes alright well that goes without saying). Plus, you want to choose a drink that won’t break the calorie bank. We’ve picked out one of the best rosé wines to make your go to, based on price, availability and, most importantly, sugar content. Moderate drinking is defined as having one drink - thats 5 ounces of wine - per day for women and two for men. There are so many rose wines to choose from on the high street and, as you’ll have gathered, some of them do contain more sugar than your post-dinner Magnum mini and fruit salad. Is this the best rosé wine on the high street?īut, we hear you. The darker colors are more likely to have a higher calorie count. Ros comes in a spectrum of colors from amber to purple. Though ros is not a full-bodied red wine, it still has a comparable amount of calories. Plus, the percentage of alcohol, which changes depending on how long the winemaker decides to ferment the wine, also affects the calorie content. Rose wine (or ros) has an average of 25 calories per ounce. While it’s lower in alcohol content compared to red and white wines, rose still contains some calories but how many. A 100ml serving of rose wine contains 70-80 calories, while the same amount of white or red wine contains 73-83 and 75-85 calories respectively. Why? Because pubs serve different size glasses: some 125ml, some 175ml. Rose wine is a popular summertime beverage that can be enjoyed on its own or paired with a number of different foods. Rose wine is lower in calories than both white and red wine, making it a good choice for those watching their calorie intake. When it comes to knowing the calorie content of your glass of blush you can't just Google and take the first nutritional label as gospel. It’s thought that those who drink four or more alcoholic drinks a day are more likely to develop mouth cancers. In addition to finding rose wine to be higher in antioxidants than white wine, studies have also shown that rosé wine drinkers have a 13% lower risk of cancer than white wine drinkers. Lower sugar rosé wines often have fewer calories and, because the production of rosé wine is similar to that of red, you could enjoy the much talked about body benefits. And although these sugars aren't equal, it does put it into perspective.) Is rosé wine unhealthy? Archer Rose makes delicious, low-calorie canned wines and their Bubbly Wine is exceptionally tasty. Because, although often demonised for its high sugar content – sadly, that sweet taste doesn’t come from anywhere – there’s a new generation of rosé wines that are actually low in sugar. Canned wines are the perfect summer drink because you can throw some in your bag and head to the beach, your friends BBQ, or a picnic at the park. Which means two whole days to sweat out a hangover with a home HIIT workout, book one of the best boot camps and chill-the-eff-out with a glass – or two – of refreshing rosé.Īnd yes, we do mean a glass – or two. Hallelujah, we’ve another weekend upon us. I use this product with the Revlon Colorburst Matte Balm in the shade “Sultry.” The Rimmel one, when it dries down, feels so drying that the Step 2 balm that they provide is a necessity. This product is very different than the Rimmel Provocalips, because that is the only other product in my experience that dries down completely matte. I bought this product more for the shade than the matte finish. It also gets on to the teeth, which I am not a fan of. If your lips are in good condition, this product does not feel drying at all, but on the other hand, if you have dehydrated and chapped lips, you might find this drying. It is fully opaque and glides on the lips beautifully. Its texture is like whipped mousse it is very creamy at the same time and very airy. After it sets, it becomes a smudge-free, transfer-proof product. So, I highly recommend exfoliating thoroughly before using this. If you touch your lips after it sets, you can see a few flakes. It can flake on the inner corner of the mouth and cling on to dry patches. It comes in a slew of shades, but I'm always reaching for Whirl (a dark mauve).Texture/Consistency: On its own, it is incredibly matte and so unforgiving on dry lips. Since the finish already gives a lovely shine, a lip gloss on top isn't totally necessary. With that said, it does transfer a tad onto a mask, but I can assure your lips will still look fresh once your mask is removed. MAC's classic matte lipstick is super creamy compared to most matte formulas out there. Lipstick You Can Wear With A Mask: MAC's Matte Lipstick However, we may receive a portion of sales if you purchase a product through a link in this article. We only include products that have been independently selected by The Zoe Report's editorial team. Whether you love a good liquid or cream, I can attest to the fact that the options below won't let you down. If you're also one to wear a bold lip underneath your mask, ahead, find 10 picks that have displayed some impressive staying power. So if there's any lip product to stray away from, it's a glossy finish. I attempted to wear my beloved Fenty Gloss Bomb Universal Lip Luminizer, however the glossy texture ended up transferring onto my mask more than I would've liked. Though I'm a lip gloss devotee, I've found they are sadly high-transfer underneath a mask. I don't personally use primer for my lips, but to further lock-in the product, it's worth testing out. When I do opt for a lip liner, I'll put out my trusty Charlotte Tilbury Lip Cheat. But for a creamy lipstick, it'll probably help your look from smudging. When it comes to liquid lipsticks, I don't think a lip liner is absolutely needed. For a virtual or social distance date night, swipe on its vibrant red Ruby Woo and you'll be getting endless compliments. One is MAC's cult-classic Matte Lipstick. Before Wearing My Mask With Stila's Stay All Day Liquid Lipstick Onīut if a creamy, buttery smooth formula is more your speed, there are some products I've found that don't make a huge mess. Both never fail to disappoint when it comes to comfortable wear and lasting throughout the day - even with the five cups of iced coffee I drink daily. Some of the liquid products I've found working well during mask-wearing season are Stila's Stay All Day Liquid Lipstick (below, before-and-after photos from wearing a mask for an hour) and Honest Beauty's Liquid Lip. As these formula's typically dry matte and budge-proof, you'll find little to no product on your mask. That said, if you are concerned about the product getting all over your mask, a liquid lipstick is the way to go. To best avoid transfer, I like to let my lip product dry for about 10 to 15 minutes before putting on my mask and heading out the door. Even underneath a mask, it's rare you'll catch me without a strong lip look.įull disclosure: Not all of these lipsticks will leave your mask completely spotless upon removal, but they sure come pretty darn close. Though safety is my top priority, I'm still experimenting with lipsticks you can wear with a mask. And clearly, I like to have a variety of options to choose from. I'm fully aware that this might sound a bit (OK, very) absurd to most, but putting on a bold lip for the day has always made me feel more confident. I'm not particularly proud to admit this, but I recently discovered 17 lip products in my everyday Cuyana leather makeup satchel. I ’ll Be Holding On, Al Downing (’75)ġ16. Related: The APC9K: We get hands-on with the Army’s new SMG We have carbines! New Cadets practice aiming an M4 Carbine in the prone position at The Plain on West Point, NY on July 8, 2022. This makes the logistics fairly easy, at least easier than adopting an entirely new mini-stocked weapon. The Raider is smaller than any SMG and uses the standard-issue handgun’s magazine, slide, and FCU. It wouldn’t replace the standard M17 or M18 by any means, but for some troops, it would make a lot of sense to have a stocked handgun. Soldiers or Marines could easily carry it holstered in place of a standard handgun. The Flux Raider is 11 inches long with the stock/brace collapsed and weighs about 40 ounces. It’s still just a handgun ballistically, but a much easier-to-use handgun. I saw rifle-like speed from the platform in traditional Marine Corps tactical drills like the failure drill. I could easily make hits at 75 yards on a man-sized target with the braced variant. A Flux Raider equipped with a stock would effectively increase a handgun’s range and overall accuracy and control without significantly increasing the weapon’s size. The lack of a third point of contact makes it tough to take shots beyond 25 yards or so. Shooting a handgun effectively is hard compared to a rifle. Related: This LVAW is SOCOM’s overpowered answer to the SMG But why? (Courtesy of the author) The Raider can be fired like a standard handgun without deploying the stock or brace. It’s rapid and makes it easy for shooters to draw and engage. Users can also eject the magazine in the gun via a press button release or sliding tab.Ī movable bar sits near the slide on the right and, when pressed downward, deploys the brace (or stock) instantly. This allows the user to reload very rapidly in a pinch. A tab sits right behind the magazine release, and when fully pressed, the device drops the magazine out of the gun and out of the magazine holder. The magazine holder also facilitates rapid reloads. In front of the trigger sits a spare magazine holder. The Raider allows the user to use their standard iron sights or mount a mini red dot to the top of the rail at the rear of the device. It’s a total replacement of the frame that contains a collapsing stock (or brace). Unlike the days of old, the Raider isn’t just a stock that sticks to the back of the gun. The Raider acts as a replacement grip module to which the user drops the FCU and then attaches the slide and barrel. It’s a removable chassis that contains all the necessary fire control parts. The heart of the M17/18 series is the Fire Control Unit (FCU). The M17 and M18 series won the Modular Handgun Contest, and that modularity comes in handy for the Flux Raider. The Flux Raider was designed around the SIG P320, which is the civilian name for the M17/M18 series of handguns. Yet, the braced variant can still give me a good idea of what the Raider is capable of accomplishing.įrom my testing, I see some real potential in the military adopting the Raider for a few niche roles. I have the braced variant, as the stocked version would require a tax stamp and permission from the ATF. The Raider is currently available in two configurations, a version with a brace and a properly stocked variant. The latest comes from a company called Flux, and it’s known as the Raider. Once added to the Home app, you can rename and customize the three HomeKit boards: camera, motion sensor, and alarm. Configuring Abode Iota HomeKit supportĪfter completing the initial configuration of Iota Hub, you can download the HomeKit configuration code in the Abode application settings. You can see the full chart comparing the plan here. Keep in mind that if you want to use geolocation features, such as automatic arm / disarm, one-touch arm / disarm, professional on-demand monitoring, video storage, time access, customizable alerts, and more, you'll need at least the standard plan. The Pro plan runs $ 240 / year if billed monthly or $ 200 in a lump sum. So the breakdown is the Standard plan is normally $ 72 / year if you pay monthly or $ 60 if you pay in advance for that year. As the name suggests, the Pro plan is what provides 24/7 professional monitoring, but if you don't want to hire monthly or annually, you can add pro-on-on-demand monitoring for only $ 8 for three days if you go for the Standard plan. To get the most out of Iota, you'll probably want at least the Standard plan, but you'll still get HomeKit support, even if you follow the free plan.įor both paid options, you can choose to pay monthly or save some money and pay throughout the year. Keep in mind that you either need to opt for the Pro plan (detailed below) to use backup cellular monitoring, or to connect your modem / router to a backup battery to keep everything running in a power outage if you choose free or Standard plan.Īs part of the initial setup process, you will be asked if you want to adhere to the free self-monitoring plan (default) or upgrade to the Standard or Pro plans. The Iota Hub also has a built-in battery that will keep it connected during a power outage. The front of the device has a 1080p camera and motion sensor in the upper half, while the lower half has a built-in two-way speaker / microphone and 92dB siren.īack, you have the power port, Ethernet, as well as the microSD and SIM card slots (SIM is preinstalled). I really like the clean and simple aesthetics of the Iota Hub and I think it works well with a variety of tastes. The setup process is simple and straightforward with the Abode iOS app (the app got some rough reviews after the May update saw some location services errors, but they were correct). The motion sensor is integrated with Wi-Fi and Ethernet support, while the standard Hub uses an external motion sensor, it lacks a 1080p camera and must be wired.įor my analysis, I tested the Iota Smart Security Hub. But I'd say you don't particularly want a room in your hub that costs a little extra for Iota Hub. Leave the Iota HomeKit hub enabledĪbode now offers HomeKit support for both the Iota Smart Security Hub and its Smart Security Hub. And there is no doubt that Abode has the widest variety of accessories (including slick sensors that are completely hidden).Īnd since it's a wireless DIY security system that you can easily customize, it's easy to install, no matter how old or new your home or business is (a nice bonus is that you can manage multiple Abode systems in the latest version of the iOS app without multiple connections). While you can find motion sensors or door and window sensors that work with HomeKit from a few other companies, Abode offers the richest experience with the Iota Hub that includes a 1080p camera, motion sensor, siren and more. And there is also the option to use professional on-demand monitoring if you want to have flexibility when using it. You have HomeKit support, which is the big selling point for me, but there are also Alexa, Google Assistant, IFTTT, Sonos, Ecobee, ZWave and many more features. For a more modern approach, you can opt to use automation and the iOS app and the Home app to arm and disarm the system (or of course all of the above). If you want to use traditional hardware accessories, such as a physical keyboard or included key, Abode supports this. After using the Abode Iota HomeKit security system I think the biggest positive aspect that stands out is how flexible and capable it is. Its rarity makes it a precious stone for collectors and jewelers alike, with prices ranging from $3 to $8 per carat for smaller quantities that are well-cut and have good coloration. The cut can make a massive difference in the price of specific stones. As with all fine jewelry, the quality of the amount determines how beautiful and valuable it will be. Cut: The cut of a gemstone also affects its price.Gems with a continuous, vibrant, and unique color scheme will be worth more. Furthermore, the continuity of the color also impacts its perceived value. Another factor to consider is the vibrancy of the Prasiolite. Some hues, such as blue, are rare in nature and are thus considered more valuable. Color: The color of the Prasiolite influences its value as well.Clarity is also essential when determining the quality of a Prasiolite. Quality: Quality is determined by the number of inclusions and imperfections in the gemstone.Size: Price increases drastically with an increase in size as larger stones are harder to find and more difficult to cut.The following factors determine its value: Prasiolite is mainly used in jewelry settings because it resembles more expensive precious gems like diamonds and sapphires. The Prasiolite stone is a relatively new gemstone that has grown in popularity over the past few years. The Prasiolite stone can be found in many countries worldwide, including: The word Prasiolite means “ scallion green-colored stone” and comes from two Greek words: prason, meaning “leek,” and lithos, meaning “stone.” Natural Prasiolite is a very light, translucent green mineral. Table of Prasiolite Stone Physical Properties What Does The Word Prasiolite Mean (Etymology)? Physical Properties Of Prasiolite Stone Mineral Group Although the gem is formed naturally, it is frequently produced by heating or irradiating amethyst without disturbing its crystal structure. When heated or irradiated, Vermarine (green) Amethyst can make a material known as Prasiolite. Prasiolite is a natural gemstone often confused with other types of Quartz. This gem’s natural production often occurs using heat-treated Amethyst or Citrine, producing Green Quartz crystals. In addition, it aids the endocrine glands, keeping the body balanced.
